Collection: Garden Arches

Fornix Arch

The Fornix Arch range has been designed and developed by a Cambridgeshire-based timber engineering business with over 200 years of heritage. They have been specifically designed to work as a one-off arch or in multiples giving a dramatic effect either in a straight line or to accent a curved pathway.

The example shown is produced using a timber species called Sapele. This is an extremely durable hardwood that stands the test of time, and has often been used to make windows and doors, such is its longevity.

The dark, natural and almost ‘tiger-like’ grain create a striking contrast amongst adjacent green planting; the hard lines juxtaposed against the softness of foliage.

Fixing the arches is place is usually a simple two-person task (depending on size). We recommend fixing the stainless steel shoes (supplied) to a concrete pad (300mm x 300mm x 300mm) or, for the easiest approach, to sleepers set into the ground (as shown in the photographs).
